Dear KAREN,
We're counting down the hours to Giving Tuesday. In a year of massive fires, historic heatwaves, and other climate-driven disasters worse than we've ever seen, we hope you'll flock together with your fellow Audubon members to protect the birds you love—because they need you more than ever before.
Will you be one of 450 friends we need to step up before midnight tomorrow to secure $100,000 for birds?
Start your monthly gift now to help power Audubon's best work—and to help unlock more crucial funding through our Giving Tuesday challenge. This has been a grim year for birds everywhere, but perhaps nowhere more than along the West Coast, where unprecedented extreme heat proved deadly for people and birds alike. In Seattle, baby birds too young to fly tried to flee their rooftop nests, plummeted, and perished. In other stretches along the Pacific, raging forest fires wreaked havoc on forest habitats and trapped young birds, again with lethal results.
With climate change on the rise, we can expect more disastrous extremes, unless we fight back. We have the power to give birds a safer future—but only if you'll
join us in protecting them. Audubon won't stop fighting to defend birds and their habitats against the impacts of climate change. With our proven combination of expert science, forceful advocacy, and committed on-the-ground conservation, we have the knowhow to help birds survive in the face of the climate crisis.
But to scale up our efforts, KAREN, we need your support.
Will you help kick off Giving Tuesday early and help ensure a safer future for birds with a monthly gift today? This special giving challenge
ends at midnight tomorrow, so please join your fellow Audubon members and help unlock an extra $100,000 for birds.
Sincerely,
The National Audubon Society
