Ahead of Earth Day, give 2x the hope with your action
Dear KAREN,

"Immediate science and conservation actions are needed to turn around declines." That's how the latest State of the Birds Report warned that 70 bird species are at a tipping point—having lost 50% or more of their populations in the past 50 years and being on track to lose another half or more in the decades to come.

These birds, including the beloved Golden-winged Warbler, could be the next to face threatened or endangered status—unless we take immediate climate action. Just how many birds we're able to protect depends on the steady support from committed bird lovers like you. So please, start your dependable annual gift right away while your first gift will be matched, up to $75,000.

Right now, the impacts of climate change are escalating faster than predicted. 2023 was the hottest year on record, and climate experts are now warning that we're approaching the threshold beyond which damage to the climate will rapidly become irreversible. The situation is dire—but there's hope in our collective action. We have practical, effective solutions to the urgent and interconnected problems of biodiversity loss, habitat destruction and degradation, and climate change. With your support, our staff, chapters, and partners are working on the ground to protect and restore vital habitats and natural spaces, and in state and national legislatures to strengthen conservation laws.

It comes down to this: Where we work—and when you help—birds are better off. But our work is far from done. Please, start your annual gift in honor of Earth Day while it will go twice as far for birds and the places they need.

Sincerely,

National Audubon Society
