Dear KAREN, Did you know that according to the latest State of the Birds report, 90 separate bird species have lost at least 50% of their populations in the last 50 years? And that one of those birds is the majestic Snowy Owl? We can't imagine a world without the beautiful and magical Snowy Owl gracing our skies, but if urgent action isn't taken immediately, we risk losing nearly all of its range. We have big plans for 2024, but we can only accomplish our goals with help from dedicated supporters like you, KAREN. In the spirit of resolutions for the new year, we're hoping you'll start an annual contribution and show your commitment to birds. We've worked for years on public action items urging policymakers to permanently protect regions of the Arctic from threats, including oil and gas developments. Late last year, the Biden administration announced a suite of constructive actions that would strengthen conservation protections and help address climate change in America's Arctic.

The birds we love need protection

Snowy Owls have been listed as a "vulnerable" species since 2017.

The Snowy Owl has lost 50% of its population from 1970-2019.

We are working to permanently protect important Snowy Owl habitat from oil and gas developments.
