It’s almost World Migratory Bird Day! Make 2X the impact now >>

Give birds the protection they need, not just today but tomorrow, too.
Chimney Swift

Chimney Swift.

2X Match Active [Double Your Impact]
In many towns east of the Rocky Mountains, the chattering calls of Chimney Swifts were once part of summer’s soundtrack. But as traditional brick chimneys are capped or demolished and flying insect populations plummet due to pesticides and habitat loss, swifts are left without safe roosting sites or adequate food during migration. The latest State of the Birds report named this beloved species—alongside 36 other birds—an Orange Alert “Tipping Point” species, having experienced long-term population losses and accelerated recent declines within the past decade.

These birds can’t ask for your help. So, we’re asking for them: Will you start an annual donation ahead of World Migratory Bird Day to give birds the protection they need, not just today but tomorrow, too? Thanks to a group of generous donors, your first gift could be matched 2X, up to $30,000.

The challenges birds face are immense, but because birds have been telling us for quite some time that we must take action—and because we’ve listened—we’re already protecting vulnerable birds in every landscape where we work. With more than 120 years of expertise and caring friends like you behind our efforts, we’re giving species a better chance at survival. Together, we’re expanding Lights Out initiatives, promoting bird-friendly building designs, and building community roost towers to safeguard Chimney Swifts during migration.

This work—and all the critical work we do on behalf of birds—can only happen with the support of bird lovers like you. Will you start an annual donation ahead of World Migratory Bird Day while your first gift could be matched, up to $30,000? Your gift will automatically renew each year to provide the consistent support our teams need.

Sincerely,
