Dear KAREN, Do you LOVE stories about birds? So do we! We warmly invite you to enjoy a delightful evening of birdy story sharing. This month, the story theme is THE BIRDS WHO SAVED MY LIFE: Have you ever had a scary or challenging moment when a feathered friend showed up to rescue you? Are there any birds who have played a key role in your life? Is there a special bird who warmed your heart when you were in a time of need? We'd love to hear your story! Our guest storyteller is Virginia Rose, founder of Birdability. At the age of 14, Virginia was paralyzed in a horse-riding accident and she has since used a manual wheelchair. Thirty years after her accident, she discovered birding and it dramatically changed her life forever. Come hear her remarkable story. Register (FREE) for The Bird Story Hour on Thursday, October 27, at 6pm PST. *Note: This virtual event is limited to 300 people. Admission is available on a first-come, first-served basis. How it works: You're invited to share a five-minute tale (optional) via ZOOM. You are also welcome to just sit back and enjoy the show! Participate in whatever way makes you happy. We welcome our Audubon community to share stories from all walks of life and all the ways we encounter birds. Like birds, our stories can be tiny beautiful moments or high-flying adventures. Whether it's about the sparrow that crossed your path on a sidewalk or eagles cartwheeling across the sky, we'd love to hear about it. This is a safe and inclusive story-telling space. Come join us!
