29 donors needed to unlock $15,000
Dear KAREN,

There are only a few hours left in our World Water Day giving challenge, and we're still looking for 29 dedicated friends to act now and start a monthly gift and help unlock an additional $15,000 in support. Will you be one of them, KAREN?

As we mark World Water Day, we're taking this time to reflect on the fact that water is critical for birds and people alike. But natural disasters and extreme weather caused by climate change are putting this resource at risk, with drought becoming more common in the West and flooding on the rise in the East.

With wetlands, lakes, rivers, and coasts threatened by this code-red crisis, Audubon is focusing on ensuring clean and reliable water is available in the places that birds like the Yellow Warbler need most. We can do it as long as we can count on friends like you.

Guided by science and informed by more than a century of experience, Audubon identifies which birds are threatened, which habitats are most in need of protection, and which birds will most benefit from our efforts. These findings then drive our work to advocate for sound policy, support sustainable resource management, preserve important habitats, and advance climate action. That's how we're improving the outlook for all birds—most urgently those species threatened with increasing risk of climate extinction: 389 in North America alone.

We're leading the way to protect clean water and watery habitats. Audubon's efforts have helped restore flows to the once-neglected Colorado River Basin, delivered more than 80 million gallons of water to the drying Rio Grande, and unlocked emergency funding for drought-stricken waterbird habitat in California's Central Valley. There's more ahead in every habitat where we work. When you're with us, we can achieve it.

So please, celebrate World Water Day with your monthly gift before midnight, while it will help unlock $15,000 more. We need just 29 more friends to meet this giving challenge. Don't miss this important chance to do your very best for birds.

Sincerely,

The National Audubon Society
