2X match on your first monthly gift. 100 new monthly donors needed today.
Dear KAREN, Bird populations have declined sharply in the United States over the past 50 years. Some beloved species are already gone forever, while others, like the majestic Snowy Owl, are increasingly vulnerable. Help turn that trend around today by starting a dependable monthly donation. Thanks to a generous group of donors, your first monthly gift will be matched 2X, up to $50,000 as part of our Giving Tuesday challenge! To reach our goal of 1,000 new monthly donors by this Giving Tuesday, we need 100 to join us today. For the sake of the birds you love, will you be one of them? |

Climate change is affecting birds in many places, but the fragile ecosystems of the Arctic are particularly vulnerable to shifts in climate. Snowy owls breed and hunt on the tundra, but as their chilly habitat warms, it’s becoming harder for them to find their rodent prey. Since 2018, Snowy Owls have been listed as a vulnerable species on the IUCN Red List, a global resource that reports on extinction risks.
That’s why we need your help, KAREN. If things continue as they are, birds will be more threatened than ever. In fact, 70 species are predicted to lose another 50% of their population in the next 50 years.
And they’re far from the only birds threatened by a changing climate. |
