You Can Bring Birds Back
American Golden-Plover
Bird populations are plummeting. But you can help bring them back.
Dear KAREN,

Birds are in trouble. Not only has North America lost 3 billion in the last 50 years, but for 70 “Tipping Point” species like the American Golden-Plover, the situation is only getting worse.

With climate change compounding the existing threats they face, they’re on track to lose another fifty percent in the next 50 years. For some, this may be too much to recover from—unless generous people like you can step in to help them , KAREN.

We can bring birds back and protect them from the urgent threat of climate change. To do that, we need 1,000 dedicated bird-lovers to support our mission and choose to become new monthly donors by Giving Tuesday. We need just 20 more today for us to stay on track to hit this critical goal. Will you be one of them? Start a monthly gift today and your first month will be matched 2X, doubling your impact to help the birds you love.
We can bring birds back
The graceful American Golden-Plover is one of the fastest-flying shorebirds. But no bird can outfly climate change. Still hurting from widespread hunting in the late 19th century, they have lost half their population during the last 50 years, and unless something changes, they’re on track to lose half again in the coming decades.

What can change? That’s up to you.

It’s not too late to bring back the American-Golden Plover and other threatened birds. We will never give up on them, but we need your help. Start a monthly gift today, ahead of Giving Tuesday, and help us meet our ambitious goal of 1,000 new monthly donors. You can provide urgent and ongoing support that will protect birds now and for future generations to come. Don’t miss this opportunity to do double the good!

Sincerely,
