The 2026 Audubon Photography Awards: Winners and Honorable Mentions

Drum roll, please! We are excited to share with you the winning images and videos of the 2026 Audubon Photography Awards. For the second year, judges awarded prizes to residents of Chile and Colombia as well as the United States and Canada, highlighting the joy of birds and how they connect us across geographies and ecosystems.
Now in its seventeenth year, the 2026 Audubon Photography Awards also include the Birds Without Borders Prize and the Conservation Prize, which honor photos that remind us of why it is so important to protect birds and all of the places they need in our interconnected world. Browse this year’s Honorable Mentions gallery for more stunning photos and videos that celebrate the beauty and variety of birds from across the hemisphere.
This year, in addition to $5,000, Grand Prize winners each received a voyage to Antarctica with HX Expeditions to combine birding, conservation, and exploration on a one-of-a-kind trip. Winners and honorable mentions are published online on Audubon.org and winners will be featured in the Fall 2026 print issue of Audubon magazine.

HX Expeditions is the world's first expedition cruise company. Through Audubon Voyages in Antarctica, Alaska, and the Galápagos, Audubon and HX connect travelers to some of the world's most important bird habitats while supporting vital conservation efforts.
