From urban centers to rural towns, each community can provide important habitat for birds. In turn, birds offer us a richer, more beautiful, and healthful place to live. But too often, the places birds depend on simply aren't there anymore. Native landscapes have been replaced by sterile lawns and exotic ornamental plants that offer little for birds, while glass buildings, pesticides, and unchecked development continue to take their toll.
But through habitat restoration, native plant education, and community engagement, we're transforming neighborhoods into places where birds can find the food, shelter, and safe passage they need to survive.
It's conservation that starts close to home—and it's making a real difference. This work depends on the sustained, year-round commitment of bird lovers like you, so today, we’re asking: Will you start your annual gift to provide the reliable support that makes it all possible? As our thanks, we'll send you a "Plants for Birds" yard sign so you can champion native plants and bird-friendly spaces right in your own neighborhood—and inspire others to take action for birds. |

Because more than half of U.S. bird species are in decline—and 3 billion birds have vanished in less than a single human lifetime—they’re counting on caring friends like you to flock together for their protection.
On behalf of birds and guided by science, we have practical and effective solutions to address the urgent and interconnected problems of biodiversity loss, habitat degradation, and climate change.
With the support of bird lovers like you, we’re restoring and improving the resilience of important landscapes, successfully advocating for climate legislation at the state and federal level, transforming communities into places where birds flourish, and securing the space and clean air and water that birds and people need to live and thrive.
But we must do more while there’s still time to build a brighter future for birds—and for that, we need you. Please join us with an annual gift now while you can still get a "Plants for Birds" yard sign as our thanks. |
