Dear KAREN,

It's hard to imagine a world without the sweet song of the Baltimore Oriole or the rich whistled notes of the Rose-breasted Grosbeak. Yet that reality is not so far-fetched: Many of the birds that visit our backyards and bird feeders each spring face existential threats from climate change.

We're working to keep our communities vibrant with the birds we love, but we're relying on the steady support from caring friends like you to keep these important programs going. Join us in protecting birds and their habitats: Start your dependable monthly gift right away and you'll help unlock an additional $5,000 for birds and the places they need.

The sustained decline among the birds in our communities—a staggering 26% since 1970—is part of a larger crisis in motion. Three billion birds have vanished in the last 50 years, and a devastating two-thirds of bird species in North America are now at increasing risk of extinction from climate change.

For more than a century, Audubon's rigorous science has identified which birds are threatened, which habitats are most in need of protection, and which birds will most benefit from our efforts—findings that drive our comprehensive program of bird conservation.

But we must do more while there's still time to build a brighter future for birds. If we fail to act, some species could be silenced forever.

Will you be one of the 23 dedicated supporters we're counting on to start a monthly gift to help protect the birds we love? When you do, you'll help unlock an additional $5,000 for birds.

Sincerely,

National Audubon Society
