Trust the Science & Safeguard the Sage-Grouse
Last year, scientists reported that Greater Sage-Grouse populations had declined 80 percent across their range since 1965. Worse still, over half of that loss has occurred in the last 20 years. Birds tell us it's time to act, and we can't ignore their plea.

The health of the Greater Sage-Grouse is linked to its habitat, the sagebrush-steppe, much of which is on public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). To address these recent findings and mitigate climate-related threats like increasing wildfires, BLM is beginning a formal review of management plans and requesting public input. The deadline to comment is next Tuesday, February 8.

It only takes a few minutes to speak up for this iconic western bird and its home. Please submit a public comment today, and tell the Bureau of Land Management to use the best available science to protect sagebrush habitat on these public lands.
