to Unlock $5,000
KAREN, there's still time to help unlock an additional $5,000 for vulnerable birds.

There's so much we can do to keep our communities vibrant with birds—but we're counting on 33 dedicated friends like you to step up with a monthly donation before midnight tonight to sustain our best work. When you do, you'll help secure a special $5,000 gift to protect birds and the places they need, so please act now.

This is an important opportunity. We're in the midst of an emergency for birds, and that includes the familiar favorites that visit our yards and gardens—birds like the Rose-breasted Grosbeak, in a worrying decline. Audubon's 2021 Priority Birds Report found a 26% decrease among the birds in our communities since 1970—and two in three North American bird species are now at increasing risk of climate extinction.

But with you by our side, we can take on climate change, maintain bird-friendly communities, and vastly improve the outlook for the birds we love. For more than a century, bird lovers like you have powered Audubon's proven combination of rigorous research, focused advocacy, and hands-on conservation work that let us give our backyard birds the healthy habitats they need and safe passage as they migrate.

It's work that has already brought many species back from the brink of extinction. With your help, we'll continue and even extend these efforts—and create a brighter, birdier future for us all.

So please, be one of 33 supporters we're counting on to step up with a monthly donation today—and when you do, you'll help unlock $5,000 more for birds and their habitats.

Sincerely,

The National Audubon Society

61 Bird Lovers Needed to Unlock $5,000
Dear KAREN,

There are so many reasons for hope because of support from people like you. Your support helps shape a better future for birds and their habitats. Your support helps threatened species recover or become abundant. And now, birds need your support now more than ever.

When you start your monthly gift before midnight tonight, you'll help unlock $5,000 in additional support to protect birds and their habitats through our limited time giving challenge.

The Rose-breasted Grosbeak, a backyard favorite, often stays out of sight—but its rich whistled song lets us know when it's foraging in the treetops. Like many birds, its future depends on our efforts and your support for protection. Its numbers have dropped a staggering 29% since 1970—and it's one of two thirds of North American species at increasing risk of extinction because of climate change.

In fact, the decline of birds in our communities is just one aspect of a larger emergency: three billion birds have vanished in the last 50 years. With losses still happening as you read this, and as birds face the threats of a climate crisis, we must act now to avoid further disaster.

Audubon has more than 100 years of expertise creating and maintaining bird-friendly communities. With the help of bird lovers like you, we're restoring and protecting intact forests, promoting plants for birds, and advocating for bird-friendly buildings.

We're championing stronger protections for migratory birds so they'll be safe across their full cycle. And we're advancing climate solutions for the sake of birds and people, so that future generations can listen for the same sweet songs we hear.

We can do all this and more because birds have friends like you. Together, we can give birds a more hopeful future. We're relying on the steady support from 61 new monthly donors to make it all possible. Please start your sustaining gift right away while it will help unlock an additional $5,000 gift. Hurry, the deadline is midnight tonight.

Sincerely,

The National Audubon Society
