Double your impact for birds ahead of Giving Tuesday
KAREN, the Great Gray Owl haunts the woods of the far north and certain high mountains of the west. Its thick, fluffy plumage gives the illusion of greater size than its slender body beneath. But this elusive owl now faces a growing threat: If climate change continues unchecked, a staggering 97% of its current breeding range could be lost—putting its very survival at stake. These birds are counting on you for protection, not just today, but tomorrow, too.

To power our work for birds with reliable support, we’ve set an ambitious goal of 1,000 new monthly donors by Giving Tuesday. Will you help bring birds back with a monthly gift right away? For a limited time, your first monthly gift could be matched to make 2X the impact. To keep pace with our goal, we’re counting on 200 caring friends to join us before midnight tonight, so please, don’t wait!

When you start a monthly gift today, you’ll join a community of our most dedicated bird lovers across the country who help deliver hands-on conservation efforts that are locally focused and guided by region- and bird-specific expertise. Through research, advocacy, and hands-on conservation action to maintain and protect resilient landscapes across the nation, we are also pushing for the large-scale change it will take to ease habitat loss and help reverse the climbing temperatures of the climate crisis.

This work—and all the critical work we do on behalf of birds—can only happen with the support of bird lovers like you. So please, be one of the 200 bird lovers we need to start a monthly donation right away while your first gift could be matched, up to $50,000, to help bring birds back.

Sincerely,

National Audubon Society

Protect birds like the American Golden-Plover with 2X the might today.
KAREN,

Each spring, flocks of American Golden-Plovers sweep across the Great Plains and Mississippi Valley—their striking breeding plumage flashing in the sunlight as they forage in open fields and prairies, far from water. Yet this familiar spectacle is fading fast: these beloved birds have lost more than half their population over the past 50 years and accelerated declines within the past decade.

Birds need all of us to flock together for their protection, so we’ve set an ambitious goal of 1,000 new monthly donors by Giving Tuesday. When you join our efforts ahead of Giving Tuesday, you give the American Golden-Plover—and all birds—their best chance at survival. We still need 61 more friends to start a monthly gift before midnight to keep pace with our goal. With just hours to go, will you be one of them?

Because birds have been telling us that we must take action on climate—and because we’ve listened—we’re already working to create a safer, more hopeful future for birds and for our planet. Through our nationwide network, we’re delivering hands-on conservation efforts that are locally focused and guided by region and bird-specific expertise. And with bird lovers like you by our side, we’ve demonstrated the positive impact of stewardship and powerful advocacy, helping create a blueprint for protecting vulnerable birds across the range of habitats where we work.

The situation is dire, but there is hope for birds because we have you—and together, we’re helping them survive by protecting the places they need. We’re counting on caring friends like you to start a monthly donation while your first gift could be matched up to $50,000. Hurry, this special offer ends on Giving Tuesday!

Sincerely,
