Climate Corner
Audubon's new Birds and Offshore Wind report shares proven strategies for environmentally responsible offshore wind development. We have lost 3 billion birds over the past 50 years, and two-thirds of North American bird species are vulnerable to extinction unless we combat climate change. The report explains why offshore wind plays an important role in this and shares clear solutions to address risks to birds. Read the report and join us for a webinar on February 12 to learn more.

Your Actions at Work
Earlier this week, the Department of the Interior announced plans to designate the Chuckwalla National Monument, protecting 624,000 acres of critical bird habitat, sacred Tribal lands, and breathtaking desert landscapes. Audubon California and a broad coalition of partners led this effort, supported by more than 56,000 Audubon advocates who sent comments to the Interior Department. Thank you! The designation of this national monument will benefit desert birds like the Cactus Wren and Greater Roadrunner and expand local community recreation opportunities. Read more
