These little puff balls are incredible survivors at a time when so much of their habitat has been lost. In recent years, climate change has added new threats for them, making the challenges they face much harder. Proposition 4 on the November ballot will provide a much-needed boost of funds to safeguard California's natural treasures from the challenges of climate change, and offer imperiled birds like the Western Snowy Plover an enduring future.
