New App Updates Will Make Spring Birding Even Easier
The Audubon Bird Guide App team has been hard at work on several updates just in time for Spring Migration. We've made important changes to the Add Sighting feature, making it quicker and easier to keep track of the birds you see and share details about your latest sighting with friends and family.

Now everyone can enjoy pictures and sounds of your favorite spring birds—all you have to do is share the link.

That's not all! You can add a sighting in two quick steps:
  1. Tap 'Add Sighting' in your bottom navigation menu, or on a species' page
  2. Review your information on the sighting details page and tap 'save sighting'

A few more changes to Add Sighting:

Your location is automatically added without having to manually create and save a new location. If you have a previously saved location nearby, we'll see that and suggest using that location.

If you would like to choose an existing saved location, save your sighting at a location where you are not currently located, or if the app doesn't have location permissions enabled, you can tap to choose or create a new location.

Check out the number on top of 'Add Sighting' in the bottom navigation menu. Now, your sighting in progress is saved for later, making it easier to add additional species to your sighting as you observe them. Feel free to move around to another screen in the app while you have a sighting in progress— we'll keep track of all the birds you've seen until you're ready to save it!
