Conservation Ranching to Save Imperiled Grassland Birds Our grassland birds have declined 50% in the last century. The Audubon-sponsored California Conservation Ranching Incentive Program (SB977) will protect rangeland habitat to safeguard species like the American Kestrel, Western Meadowlark, Grasshopper Sparrow, Acorn Woodpecker, and California Quail. Equitable Outdoor Access for All We all have the right to nature and the joy of birding. That's why Audubon sponsored the Equitable Outdoor Access Bill (AB30) to expand access to nature for all Californians, especially low-income and people of color who are two-thirds more likely to live in nature-deprived areas than white people in California.  Read more
