As fall migration reaches its peak, our research shows it can be the most perilous season for warblers. Unlike the fast, direct journeys of spring, their autumn routes are slower and more winding, exposing birds to environmental hazards for longer periods. Add deforestation, climate change, and other human-driven threats, and it becomes even harder for species like the Black-throated Blue Warbler to safely reach their breeding and wintering grounds—putting entire populations at risk.
These birds urgently need the protection of people who care about them and are ready to help—people like you, KAREN. So please, join us in safeguarding birds with a dependable annual gift while you can still receive the next issue of Audubon magazine as our thanks.
Sincerely,
National Audubon Society |
